VOTE: Unanimous

General Public Comment—None

Old Business—

Potentially Dangerous Dog Appeal Committee—No appeals to report on at this time.

Dangerous Dog Task Force—Jean Austin reported that the committee did more research with
Mr. Marotto and Animal Control to review the files that are kept on dangerous or potentially
dangerous animals. Animal Control’s current procedures are that separate files and list are
kept on these types of dogs. Each individual file is clearly marked with a hi-lighted red marker in
order for staff, while taking calls from citizens, to immediately recognize that the dog is
dangerous. It was recommended that the language in the regulations address that signage be
placed on the premises of dangerous dogs and that the animal be kept in a locked and secured
enclosure or restrained on a leash. The board on either of these two items made no decision.
