<br /> <br />o This coming Tuesday, November 25th, the BOCC is hosting an event for Advisory Board <br />chairs, which Michelle Walker plans to attend. <br />Old Business <br />• Free-Roaming Cat Task Force Report – Deanna Rowan spoke about the HSUS booklet, <br />“Managing Community Cats,”she requested to be presented to the Commissioners for <br />background about free roaming cats. Bob Marotto and Andi Morgan have reviewed the Free <br />Roaming Cat Task Force report and translated it into a format to make recommendations to <br />the BOCC. It is going back to the Free Roaming Task Force to review and it will then come <br />back to ASAB. Soon citizens will be able to see the report on the Animal Services website. <br />• Unified Animal Ordinance Update – Bob Marotto met with representatives from the Towns <br />of Chapel Hill and Carrboro and the meetings went well. Everyone is on board in backing the <br />Unified Animal Ordinance. The County Manager suggested that it go first to the towns for a <br />vote in the early part of the coming year. From there it will go back to the BOCC. <br />New Business <br />• Animal Services Update by Drew Brinkley - Drew Brinkley reviewed the printed update <br />handout and highlighted that still fewer animals are coming in and more are going out as live <br />releases. <br />• Revised ASAB Annual Report and 2015 Work Plan – The revised plan was adopted <br />unanimously and will be submitted to the BOCC. <br />Ongoing and Upcoming Events <br />• Home for the Holidays, November 1 through January 7 <br />o Adoption Specials <br />o Hillsborough Parade, December 6 <br />Information Items <br />• Monthly Sheltering Statistical Reports: October, 2014 <br />• Monthly Field Service Statistical Reports: October, 2014 <br /> <br />Minute Taker – Aviva Scully, Secretary <br />Adjourned at 8:00 pm <br /> <br />Accompanying Documents <br />1.
