The resulting document would serve as a clear workplan for <br />the Board, staff, advisory boards, and the community for the remainder of the year, If <br />successful, this approach could be replicated as part of the Board's annual retreat and goal <br />setting process for 2007, and serve as a foundation for the formulation of the 2007-08 County <br />budget next spring, <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no immediate financial impact associated with the discussion <br />of BOCC priorities at this work session, Staff will assess additional costs and/or the estimated <br />use of existing staff resources that will be necessary to carry out the Board's top priorities and <br />report that information back as part of a future agenda item related to written goal statements for <br />the Board's top priorities, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board discuss previously <br />identified priorities and goals and provide appropriate direction to staff that will lead to <br />production of a set of written goal statements and timelines for the Board's top priorities for the <br />remainder of calendar year 2006.. <br />
