Heather
Altman reported that the TJCOG Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council did not meet
since the last Aging Board meeting.

Haryo Marsosudiro informed the Advisory Board that the new Senior Lunch caterer is
serving good food. The Central Orange attendance has increased as a result of the
improved meals. Jerry Passmore added that he met with the Nantucket staff the previous
day to share both positive and negative feedback from the first week’s menus. Mr.
Marsosudiro suggested conducting a survey of the lunch participants.

Mr. Passmore reviewed a listing of the Advisory Board’s many committee liaisons and
the description of each groups’ function. He mentioned that he has represented this
Board on the Human Services Advisory Commission in the absence of an appointee. The
Commission’s charge is currently under review. Jan Wells will also
assist with some aspects of the planning.

Jerry Passmore distributed copies of the County Property Naming Policy. He reminded
the Board that this policy will apply when considering the naming of buildings or areas in
a building. He referred to the Senior Care Board’s passing of a recommendation that
their program area be named for the late Florence Gray Soltys who was instrumental in
its establishment. Jan Wassel suggested that the option to name areas of public buildings
could be used as a fundraising tool.

In his Director’s Report Mr. Passmore stated that he has requested an update of MAP
accomplishments from each program division supervisor. A summary of their responses
will be presented at a Board meeting in early 2010. He will also present a draft of a
Facility Use Policy for Senior Centers that could be used as a prototype for all County
buildings.

Jerry Passmore asked if the Board would like to meet on the first Tuesday in December.
Thelma Perkins offered the motion to postpone the next meeting of the Advisory Board
until January 2010.
