The Board decided to change the process for <br />selecting its annual boards and commissions on which they would like to serve. The Board’s <br />selection listing is a working document with possible term limits and the Board may edit as <br />needed at the work session. <br /> <br />The proposed selection process, which would begin in 2018, would allow: <br /> <br />• Each Commissioner is to have one “save”, choosing one board that they currently serve <br />on (holding an officer position is not an automatic exemption) <br />• Appointments to regional boards are to be no more than 4 years, and appointments to <br />intra-county boards are to be no more than 2 years. <br />• Continue with round robin selection process (as has been done in the past) <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There are no Orange County Social Justice Goal impacts <br />associated with this item. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board discuss/select the Boards <br />and Commissions on which they would like to serve. <br /> <br /> <br />1
