As a curator of the literary, visual <br />and interdisciplinary arts, I have administered and curated a wide range of public programming <br />for various organizations including Smithsonian, Belfast Exposed (Northern Ireland), Medina <br />Galerie (Bamako, Mali), Honfleur Gallery, Hillyer Artspace, the Phillips Collection, the American <br />Poetry Museum and others. <br />I currently or have in the past served on the Board of Directors for Arch Development <br />Corporation, American Poetry Museum, and I continue to act in an advisory role for individual <br />artists and arts organization. <br />I have also served on grant review panels for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities <br />and the National Endowment for the Humanities. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />My interest in serving on the Arts Commission is first to learn more about the arts community in <br />Orange County. Since I have moved here, though I have been frequenting many different kinds <br />of arts events, I feel that I have only been scratching the surface of the breadth of offerings here. <br />Since returning to the United States and moving to Orange County, I have been interested in <br />finding ways to get involved and to use my skills and ideas be an active part of building the kind <br />
