5 <br />The contact person for GoTriangle may assist with coordinating these meetings <br />and helping secure meeting space at GoTriangle. <br />The initial meeting of the full Advisory Committee shall be in <br />2018. <br />Terms and Removal of Members <br />The Committee members shall be appointed by the GoTriangle Board. The <br />Wake County Board of Commissioners shall nominate 6 members, the Durham <br />Board of Commissioners shall nominate 5 members and the Orange County <br />Board of Commissioners shall nominate 4 members. The additional nominations <br />shall be chosen from applicants that have applied directly to GoTriangle. <br />The members of the Committee terms shall not exceed two (2) years and no <br />member shall serve more than two (2) terms. <br />The Committee shall choose a Chairperson to serve for a period of two (2) years. <br />The Wake County Board of Commissioners, Durham County Board of <br />Commissioners and Orange County Board of Commissioners shall each appoint <br />one member of their Board of Commissioners to act as a liaison between their <br />Board of Commissioners and the Transit Citizens Advisory Committee. The <br />Commissioners shall serve as ex- officio, non - voting members of the Committee. <br />Transportation directors for Wake, Durham and Orange Counties shall also be <br />ex- officio, non - voting members of the Committee. <br />A committee member may be removed at the GoTriangle Board's discretion. A <br />committee member who has two or more unexcused absences may be removed <br />from the committee. <br />Committee members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional <br />manner and be respectful of others. Abusive language or other types of <br />unprofessional conduct will be grounds for immediate removal from the <br />committee. <br />Nomination Solicitations <br />Announcements for nominations will be distributed widely and will be specific <br />about the duties and responsibilities. Nominations must be accompanied by <br />adequate information on the amount and kinds of experience that qualify the <br />nominee for the particular position. Nominations should be received on or before <br />a deadline identified by the GoTriangle Board. <br />3 <br />
