32 <br />Please tell us why you would like to be on the GoTriangle Transit Advisory Committee. (Please limit your <br />response to 100 or fewer words) <br />I grew up in the Triangle and have been a GoTriangle commuter ever since moving back to the area in <br />2009. 1 am passionate about transit as vehicle for responsible growth and social justice. In both public <br />and private forums, I have enjoyed regularly advocating for transit, particularly the Orange County <br />transit plan and Durham Orange Light Rail. I am excited about how these plans integrate with transit <br />plans for the entire Triangle. Much of the public discourse about the future of Orange County transit <br />has been heated. When discussing these issues, it is important to have voices that are free of animus, <br />free of personal attacks, and grounded in facts. If I am selected to be part of this committee, I plan to <br />continue to be one of those voices. <br />Please attach a current resume /biography with application. <br />
