These changes took additional time resources above and beyond what was expected and resulted in costs exceeding that originally outlined in the scope of services for the project. Solid Waste Reduction and Diversion Planning Original Contract Title & Date: General Engineering and Environmental Management Services — 5/22/17 (SCS Project No. 02216202.02) SCS met with County staff on 3/16/17 to brainstorm the action items and work efforts pertaining to the County's long -term waste reduction plan. SCS' understands the County is developing a scope /plan for future professional services related to Waste Reduction and Diversion to be delivered by SCS and the original intention was to commence services in Spring /Summer 2017. However, the County has delayed the schedule for these work efforts. SCS incurred costs associated with time and travel expenses to participate in the meeting as well as development of the listing of potential Scope of Work ideas that was submitted to the County. . COMPENSATION: SCS will be compensated for time and expenses in accordance with SCS' standard rates in effect at the time of performance. The budgetary fee estimate is as follows: • Preparation of a Solid Waste Financial Plan $3,000 • Preliminary Economic Feasibility Study $3,250 • Solid Waste Reduction and Diversion Planning $3,000 The total compensation for this Work Order will not exceed $9,250 without the County's authorization.
