She said this currently exists at both Carrboro <br />stations, Orange Grove Fire Department, Orange Rural Fire Department #2, and Eno Fire <br />District is currently working on the co-location process. <br />Commissioner McKee said co-location was attempted unsuccessfully about 20-25 years <br />ago, and this time co-location seems to be far more successful. <br />Commissioner McKee commended the fire departments for working on reducing their <br />fire ratings. <br />Commissioner Marcoplos referenced the local fire academy issue, and asked if the time <br />commitment, as well as the barriers, to having an academy could be identified.
