CONDITION 13 — LAND USES — The Planning Board was asked to review the
proposed land uses within the project and determine if they were acceptable.
Board members reiterated support for the proposed land uses indicating the
applicant had proposed uses consistent with the provisions of Section 5.2.3 of
the UDO (i.e. the table of permitted land uses for Conditional Zoning Districts) as
well as pending revisions as proposed by staff as part of the table of permitted
use project.
Staff reminded the Board at its December 18, 2017 regular meeting there was an
attachment to the agenda outlining the questions posed at the November 14,
2017 public hearing as well as responses to same. This includes an analysis of
the proposed uses for the project.
2. CONDITION 6 — At the November 14, 2017 public hearing, the applicant
objected to the imposition of a condition granting approval /denial authority to the
Orange Rural Volunteer Fire Department. They suggested the condition be
modified to require the review of development proposals by the Orange Rural
Volunteer Fire Department while maintaining `approval authority' on fire code
issues with the County and Town Fire Marshal.
