ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT Meeting Date: January 23, 2018 1 Action Agenda Item No. 11 -a SUBJECT: Go Triangle Transit Citizen Advisory Committee - Recommendations DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (YIN) No ATTACHMENT(S): Operating & Protocols Guidelines Applicant Interest List Applications of Persons on the Interest List INFORMATION CONTACT: Clerk's Office, 919 - 245 -2130 PURPOSE: To consider making four (4) recommendations for appointment to the Go Triangle Transit Citizen Advisory Committee and to select one (1) liaison from the 7 BOCC members. BACKGROUND: The following information is for Board consideration: Committee members will not have authority to create or enforce policy or rules, but their analysis and recommendations will be welcome. The GoTriangle Board of Trustees will appoint 30 people to the committee, with fourteen (14) from Wake County, nine (9) from Durham County and seven (7) from Orange County. The Orange County Board of Commissioners will recommend four (4) applicants to Go Triangle and Go Triangle will select the three (3) additional members for a total of seven (7). The BOCC will select one (1) liaison to represent Orange County. The committee will meet six times a year.
