DocuSign Envelope ID:C261B299-2298-4C63-8BAO-B0834B88D1CC <br /> [Departmental Use Only] <br /> TITLE AC&ELECRelocation <br /> FY 2017/18 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> UNDER $90,000 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> This Agreement, made and entered into this 18th day of December, 2017, ("Effective <br /> Date") by and between Orange County, North Carolina a body politic and corporate of the State <br /> of North Carolina (hereinafter, the "County") and RN&M Engineers, (hereinafter, the <br /> "Consultant"). <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> That the County and Consultant, for the consideration herein named, do hereby agree as <br /> follows: <br /> ARTICLE 1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 1.1 Scope of Work <br /> 1.1.1 This Services Agreement ("Agreement") is for professional consulting services to <br /> be rendered by Consultant to County with respect to (insert type of project) Provide Professional <br /> Engineering Services for design of Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing Systems Relocations for the <br /> Government Services Annex per proposal dated November 8, 2017. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> This project involves modifying the existing HVAC, electrical, and domestic hot water systems <br /> serving the facility such that all components which may be damaged if submerged by flood <br /> waters (items requiring service with moving parts, live electrical or gas connections, etc) are <br /> relocated out of the basement of the facility. <br /> Design will include: <br /> • Replacement of the central air handling unit and boiler system located in the basement with a <br /> new ground mounted packaged HVAC unit located exterior to the building. The existing duct <br /> system located at ceiling level in the basement will remain and will be connected to the new <br /> packaged HVAC unit. <br /> • Replacement of the existing domestic hot water heater located in the basement with a new unit <br /> located on the first or attic level of the facility. New hot water piping will be installed to connect <br /> this new heater to the existing hot water piping system. <br /> • The exiting main electrical service panel located in the basement will be replaced with a new <br /> outdoor rated main distribution panel located on the exterior of the facility. Other electrical <br /> distribution gear located in the basement will be removed from the basement and relocated if <br /> required after HVAC and electrical equipment is relocated. New wiring and conduit will be <br /> designed to connect the new switchgear to existing loads. <br /> 1.1.2 By executing this Agreement, the Consultant represents and agrees that Consultant <br /> is qualified to perform and fully capable of performing and providing the services required or <br /> necessary under this Agreement in a fully competent,professional and timely manner. <br /> 1.1.3 Time is of the essence with respect to this Agreement. <br /> Revised 10/17 <br /> 1 <br />
