Mr. Waters passed away after a short battle with cancer on April 21, 2004. <br /> Phillip "Nick" Waters was recognized by many in the community for his dedication to <br /> leading emergency responders in Orange County. He encouraged staff to do their best <br /> with the tools and resources available and to always share their knowledge. <br /> In recognition and appreciation of Phillip "Nick" Waters' contributions to Orange County, <br /> the proposal to name the Emergency Services building at 510 Meadowlands to the <br /> Phillip "Nick" Waters Orange County Emergency Services Center was presented to the <br /> Board of Orange County Commissioners for consideration and on June 6, 2017, a <br /> motion was passed for the Board to consider the proposal as outlined in the Board's <br /> attached policy. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no immediate financial impact related to this discussion. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: ENABLE FULL CIVIC PARTICIPATION <br />
