Of the applications on file as of that date,the board recommends the appointment of Marlon <br /> Torres (Position#10) and Linda Williamson (Position#1). Mr.Torres is the executive director of N.C.Arts in <br /> Action,a performing arts education organization who works with schools around the Triangle. Ms.Williamson has <br /> a background in performing arts and arts administration. The two candidates fill our need for board members who <br /> represent the performing arts and Arts in Education in Orange County. <br /> If these new board applicants are approved,that will leave two vacancies. We have several other recent applicants <br /> whom we are meeting with and will be voting on at our January, 2018,meeting.
