NCDOT Petition Information for <br /> Buckhorn Ridge Road and Twelve <br /> Point Trail Addition in Buckhorn Ridge <br /> Subdivision <br /> PURPOSE: To make a recommendation to the North Carolina Department of Transportation <br /> (NCDOT) and the North Carolina Board of Transportation (NC BOT) concerning a petition to <br /> add Buckhorn Ridge Road and Twelve Point Trail in Buckhorn Ridge Subdivision to the State <br /> Maintained Secondary Road System. <br /> BACKGROUND: This request includes a petition for two (2) road additions to the State <br /> Maintained Secondary Road System. The roads and their respective lengths and widths are as <br /> follows: <br /> Road Name Length in Miles Number of Frontage Pavement/Right-of-way <br /> Lots with Houses Widths in Feet <br /> Buckhorn Ridge Drive 0.66 9 20/50 <br /> Twelve Point Trail 0.16 9 20/50 <br /> TOTAL 0.82 18 N/A <br /> Buckhorn Ridge Subdivision <br /> Buckhorn Ridge Subdivision is located off Yarborough Road (State Road 1138) in the western <br /> part of the County, east of Mebane Oaks Road and west of Buckhorn Road, in Cheeks <br /> Township (Attachment 1). The major subdivision was approved on October 11, 2001. The <br /> single family residential subdivision is located within Orange County's zoning jurisdiction and <br /> was developed and approved subject to the County's zoning and subdivision regulations. There <br /> is no known subdivision violation associated with the subdivision. <br />
