Minutes <br /> 7 The Board approved the minutes from November 2 and 9, 2017 as submitted by the Clerk <br /> 8 to the Board. <br /> 9 b. Fiscal Year 2017-18 Budget Amendment#3 <br /> 10 The Board approved budget and school capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal <br /> 11 year 2017-18 to Department on Aging; Department of Social Services; Visitors Bureau; <br /> 12 Orange Public Transportation; School Capital Project Ordinances — Orange County <br /> 13 Schools; and Outside Agency—Orange County Food Council. <br /> 14 c. Marketing Communications Management Agreement with FleishmanHillard <br /> 15 The Board approved a professional services agreement for tourism marketing and <br /> 16 advertising with FleishmanHillard. <br /> 17 d. Termination of Lease and Joint Use Agreement with Orange County Schools <br /> 18 The Board approved the termination of a Lease and Joint Use Agreement with the Orange <br /> 19 County Board of Education for the use of tennis courts at Orange High School. This action <br /> 20 is designed to simplify the public usage of the courts, removing a reservation process that <br /> 21 has become unwieldy, and is based on mutual agreement with the Orange County Schools. <br /> 22 e. Resolution of Approval —Conservation Easement for Center Stream Farm Addition; <br /> 23 and Approval of Budget Amendment#3-A <br /> 24 The Board approved a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, for the purchase of <br /> 25 and acceptance by Orange County of an agricultural conservation easement for the Center <br /> 26 Stream Farm addition, authorize the Chair to sign and approve Budget Amendment#3-A. <br /> 27 f. Establishing a County Government Academy for Orange County Residents <br /> 28 The Board approved the development of a County Government Academy (CGA) as a series <br /> 29 of classes held each spring and fall to educate residents about the many services and <br /> 30 responsibilities of Orange County Government and thereby benefit Orange County by <br /> 31 creating a pool of informed residents who would be more likely to serve on one of the many <br /> 32 Orange County volunteer boards and advisory committees. <br /> 33 g. Approval of NACo Rural Impact Community Challenge Resolution <br /> 34 The Board approved a NACo Rural Impact Community Challenge resolution in a national <br /> 35 effort to combat rural child poverty and authorize the Chair to sign. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 9.
