OPENING REMARKS FROM THE CHAIR <br /> 22 <br /> 23 B. PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Chair Dorosin read the charge below: <br /> 26 The Board of Commissioners pledges to the residents of Orange County its respect. <br /> 27 The Board asks its residents to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with <br /> 28 the Board and with fellow residents. At any time should any member of the Board or any <br /> 29 resident fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending member to leave the <br /> 30 meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the <br /> 31 Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is <br /> 32 observed. All electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and computers should please be <br /> 33 turned off or set to silent/vibrate. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 C. PUBLIC HEARING — QUASI JUDICIAL ITEMS <br /> 36 NONE <br /> 37 <br /> 38 D. PUBLIC HEARING — LEGISLATIVE ITEMS <br /> 39 <br /> 40 1. Zoning Atlas Amendment -To review an application for an MPD-CZ (Master Plan <br /> 41 Development Conditional Zoning) district. The proposed project encompasses 195 <br /> 42 acres in the Hillsborough Economic Development District (EDD) south of Interstate 40 <br /> 43 on both sides of Old Highway 86. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 BACKGROUND: <br /> 46 The modified request seeks to rezone approximately 195 acres of property: <br /> 47 <br /> 48 From: Economic Development Hillsborough Limited Office (EDH-2); Economic Development <br /> 49 Hillsborough Office/Retail (EDH-4); Economic Development Hillsborough Research and <br /> 50 Manufacturing (EDH-5); Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) Overlay District; Major <br /> 51 Transportation Corridor (MTC) Overlay District. <br /> 52 <br /> 53 To: Master Plan Development Conditional Zoning (MPD-CZ) Settlers Point; Special Flood <br /> 54 Hazard Area (SFHA) Overlay District; Major Transportation Corridor (MTC) Overlay District. <br />
