21
Property Boundary Proposed for Local Designation [Photo 121:
The National Register boundary includes the entire 47 acre parcel that the house presently stands on.
The proposed landmark boundary defines a smaller parcel of approximately 8-9 acres,to take in the
property around the house, extending out to the barn, as shown in the attached aerial photo showing
the parcel boundary as per the Orange County GIS web site. This will include all the road frontage of the
property along NC 57, as well as adequate land behind the house, but not the entire farm.As drawn, this
will include the main barn and the old tobacco barn. The goal of this proposed boundary is to protect
the land around the house and barns, and to maintain the historic views from NC 57.
