However, a <br />right turn decel lane is desirable. NCDOT would have no objection to the construction of the lane if <br />required by the County. The design must be reviewed and approved by NCDOT. We provide the following comments: <br />The site is composed of 18 single family residential lots served <br />by a single cul-de=sac roadway. The development is not expected <br />to create a significant traffic impact to the adjacent roadway <br />network. No turn lanes are warranted for this development. <br />The proposed intersection location provides acceptable spacing <br />with existing intersections. Acceptable intersection sight <br />distance can be obtained with appropriate grading. <br />If the Developer desires that Orchard Trail be a State maintained <br />road, then the road must meet NCDOT subdivision road construction <br />standards.
