Minutes 18 <br />The Board approved the minutes from October 17, 2017 as submitted by the Clerk to the 19 <br />Board. 20 <br />b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds 21 <br />The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle 22 <br />property tax values for two taxpayers with a total of two bills that will result in a reduction of 23 <br />revenue, in accordance with the NCGS. 24 <br />c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds 25 <br />The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax 26 <br />values for eight taxpayers with a total of eight bills that will result in a reduction of revenue in 27 <br />accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. 28 <br />d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion 29 <br />The Board considered eight untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem 30 <br />taxation for eight bills for the 2017 tax year. 31 <br />e. Substation Use Agreement between Orange County and the Eno Volunteer Fire 32 <br />Department 33 <br />The Board approved a Substation Use Agreement between Orange County and the Eno 34 <br />Volunteer Fire Department to house an Orange County Ambulance at Eno Station #2 located at 35 <br />5501 St. Mary’s Road in Hillsborough. This colocation will improve response times in the 36 <br />northeastern section of the County and will allow for the relocation of the Northside Supervisor 37 <br />Unit to a facility that has appropriate sleeping quarters, and authorize the Manager to execute 38 <br />the agreement upon review by the County Attorney. 39 <br />f. Change in BOCC Regular Meeting Schedule for 2018 40 <br />The Board moved the Tuesday, September 18, 2018 regular meeting to Thursday, September 41 <br />20, 2018 at Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill. 42 <br /> 43 <br />9. County Manager’s Report 44 <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said there is an update on the affordable housing County-owned 45 <br />parcels of land. She said three proposals have been received, and the group reviewed these 46 <br />on October 23.
