If a viable repair area is identified 41, the property, the owner <br /> •.II not be required to connect to the public sewer system, but . choose to connect if <br /> so desired. <br /> ‘) There shall be no such connection requirement for any structure or prope• if an <br /> adequate septic facility is currently in use and in good.working order. <br /> • <br /> 6.21.1 Intent <br /> The intent of this overlay districtthese regulations30 is to promote public health, safety, and <br /> general welfare and to minimize public and private losses due to flood conditions within flood <br /> prone areas by provisions designed to: <br /> (A) Restrict or prohibit uses, which are dangerous to health, safety, and property due to <br /> water or erosion hazards, or which result in damaging increases in erosion, flood heights <br /> or velocities <br /> (B) Require that uses vulnerable to floods, including facilities, which serve such uses, be <br /> protected against flood damage at the time of initial construction; <br /> (C) Control the alteration of natural floodplains, stream channels, and natural protective <br /> barriers, which are involved in the accommodation of flood waters; <br /> (D) Control filling, grading, dredging, and all other development, which may increase erosion <br /> or flood damage; and <br /> (E) Prevent or regulate the construction of flood barriers, which will unnaturally divert <br /> floodwaters or which may increase flood hazards to other lands. <br /> 6.21.2 Objectives <br /> The objectives of this overlay districtthese regulations are to: <br /> 29 This new section combines existing regulations from Section(s)4.3 and 6.6.1.
