112 <br />RECOMMMAT I ON : <br />Planning Staff Recommendation <br />The Planning Staff recommends that Section V.C.I.a. <br />and b. be amended to reduce the minimum required <br />acreage from 155 to 80 acres. The change would <br />recognize the role that smaller farms play in the <br />agricultural economy, and, by permitting two or <br />more contiguous farms to join together, allow farms <br />as small as 40 acres to participate. <br />Administration Recommendation <br />The Administration recommends that the proposal be <br />referred to the Agricultural Districts Advisory <br />Board for a recommendation to be returned no sooner <br />than September 22, 1992. <br />
