I <br />COMBS REZONING RgQUffST <br />Page Seven <br />February 10, 1992 Hinkley receives from Smith a copy of an <br />Agreement for Wrecker Service between the Town <br />of Chapel Hill and Westside Towing to be in <br />effect from July 1, 1991 through June 30, <br />1992. Liability insurance, in the name of <br />Wayne Combs Automotive, Inc., was issued by <br />Village Insurance Agency, Inc. The insurance <br />certificate holder is the Town of Chapel Hill <br />Police Department. <br />Hinkley also receives from Smith a copy of a <br />letter to Combs of Westside Towing from the <br />Chapel Hill Police Department, dated December <br />17, 1991, stating, "Effective immediately <br />abandoned vehicles will no longer be stored at <br />the Chapel Hill Police Department Compound <br />Lot. Abandoned vehicles shall be towed to <br />your company's storage facility..." <br />February 13 The Board of Adjustment hears the Combs <br />Appeal. <br />February 17 Kirk sends a letter to Combs stating that <br />after hearing the Combs appeal the decision of <br />the Board of Adjustment was "..not to adjourn <br />the meeting, but to allow it to remain open <br />for a period of nine (9) months." It was <br />stated that during this period the applicant <br />should proceed in a manner to resolve the <br />situation with the opportunity to apply for <br />rezoning of the approximate area used for <br />storing junked motor vehicles on the effective <br />date of the zoning ordinance in Bingham <br />Township (September 2, 1981). <br />February 20 Hinkley sends Smith, at his request, by <br />Facsimile Transmission, a Memorandum sent to <br />the Planning Board by the Planning Staff on <br />May 6, 1981, giving the "List of Proposed Non - <br />Conforming Uses of Land, Uses of Major <br />Structures and Premises, and Structures." <br />Listed for Bingham Township were MDK, Nello L. <br />Teer Asphalt Plant, J.W.'s Place, and <br />Tumbleweed. <br />
