Z -3 -92 ZONING ATLAS AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS <br />March 22, 1990 Mr. Combs receives a Permit for Construction <br />(Permit #04885) to erect a "Building: 45' X <br />32', 1 -story building. Will be used to store <br />owner's own cars...". <br />May 15, 1990 A Certificate of Occupancy is issued. <br />October 25, 1991 An anonymous complainant reports that the <br />Combs are operating a junk motor vehicle <br />business on his property at 1300 Ferguson <br />Road. <br />October 28 The first site inspection is conducted by Jim <br />Hinkley. The following is observed: <br />1. Open storage of 250+ junked motor <br />vehicles, aligned in eleven rows, <br />generally inventoried by make and model, <br />and spread over two parcels (TM 6.37B..6 <br />& 6A) <br />2. A recently cleared wooded area appearing <br />to be over an acre with no silt fencing, <br />ground cover, or evidence of vegetative <br />stabilization, containing 100+ junked <br />motor vehicles <br />3. A three -bay garage with two lifts and <br />other heavy auto maintenance and repair <br />equipment, a machine shop and tool area, <br />office area, and a white sign with green <br />and red lettering advertizing Interstate <br />Batteries mounted on the west facade <br />4. Two mobile structures situated along the <br />south border of parcel 6A being used for <br />storage of automobiles, motors, parts <br />and equipment <br />5. Four people working in the garage. <br />
