This amendment will budget for <br />these grant funds. <br />2. The Orange County Rape Crisis Center has received notification of a Victim of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant. This grant <br />will be used to assist victims of sexual assault. No County match is required for this $26,242 grant. <br />This amendment will budget for the receipt of these grant funds. <br />3. In order for the CAT program to receive the 24 passenger mini -bus that was included in the 1992 -93 Budget, NCDOT <br />has asked Orange County to pay the dealership directly for the full cost of the vehicle and be reimbursed for 80 % of <br />the cost. The County match for the purchase of the mini -van was included in the 1992 -93 budget for the Equipment <br />ReplacementJBuilding Repairs Capital Project. This amendment will budget the reimbursement amount <br />that is anticipated from the State with no additional County funds required. <br />4. Orange County Housing /Community Development has received notification from the State of the actual funding amount <br />for the Existing "P010a and Voucher programs. The actual amount is higher than estimated at the time the budget and <br />project ordinances were adopted. This increase in funding is not the result of an increase in the number of Section 8 <br />units allocated to Orange County. The attached grant project ordinance will increase appropriated grant fiords by $60,025. <br />RECOMMENDATION. <br />The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners adopt the proposed Budget Ordinance Amendments, <br />the Equipment Replacement/Building Improvements Capital Project Ordinance and the Section 8 <br />Program Grant Grant Project Ordinance. <br />
