DRAFT 7 -20 -92 PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br />MOTION: <br />VOTE: <br />AGENDA ITEM #11: <br />10 <br />MOTION: <br />VOTE: <br />._1 G <br />The Planning Staff recommends that the proposed <br />amendment be presented for public hearing on <br />August 24, 1992. A copy of the proposed <br />amendment is an attachment to these minutes on <br />pages <br />Reid moved approval for public hearing as <br />recommended by the Planning Staff. Seconded by <br />Jobsis. <br />Unanimous. <br />PLANNING BOARD ITEMS <br />a. Hillsborough Thoroughfare Plan <br />Presentation by Gene Bell. <br />A copy of the abstract information and revised <br />thoroughfare plan map are attachments to these <br />minutes on pages <br />Bell reviewed the map and noted that the <br />Hillsborough Town Board voted unanimously to <br />adopt the revised thoroughfare plan boundaries on <br />July 13, 1992. <br />The Planning Staff recommends that the Planning <br />Board endorse the action of the Hillsborough Town <br />Board and recommend to the County Commissioners <br />the adoption of a resolution supporting the <br />proposed boundary revisions. Such an item could <br />possibly be considered by the commissioners at <br />their August 18, 1992 meeting. <br />Gray moved approval as recommended by the <br />Planning Staff. Seconded by Reid. <br />Unanimous. <br />b. Regional Bicycle Plan Update <br />Presentation by Gene Bell. <br />This item is to report on efforts to prepare a <br />Regional Bicycle Plan. <br />On October 22, 1991, the County Commissioners <br />agreed to participate financially in the <br />preparation of a Regional Bicycle Plan at the <br />request of the Durham- Chapel Hill- Carrboro (DCHC) <br />Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC).
