., <br />7 36 <br />The second summer, as a paid intern, I participated in a college archaeology fieldwork class <br />excavating a historic building site and prepared elevation drawings for reconstructing the house <br />(which was buii� two years later using the drawings). I also prepared a stabilization report for an <br />abandoned, historic black church. In the spring, I returned to assist in preparing measured <br />drawings of the church. <br />1983 on Computer Consultant <br />I have been a consultant for students and faculty at USC and Cornell University. I designed data <br />recording protocols and performed analyses for several research projects. One project won an <br />award for research on users'of the Los Angeles Children's Museum. At Cornell, I developed a <br />program to compile and analyze data from experiments by the Northeast Regional Weed Technical <br />Committee in crop fertilization and herbicide usage. <br />My expertise is in creating database applications for IBM PC and Macintosh systems, using Clipper <br />and 4th Dimension on the respective systems. I am also experienced in providing training and <br />assistance for WordPerfect, PageMaker, Excel, MapGrafix, and in transferring data between <br />dissimilar systems, programs, and media. <br />Volunteer Activities <br />I am currently helping the Old North Salisbury (N.C.) Association prepare a proposal for a local historic <br />district. I have conducted a walking survey with several residents to more clearly delineate the area to <br />be included and will produce the finished proposal. <br />In 1990 and 1991, I participated in meetings of the Heritage Coalition, a ten- county regional preservation <br />organization in central New York. For several conferences sponsored by the Coalition, I helped produce <br />advance notices, handouts, mailing lists, and labels for mailings. I was also appointed to the Fund <br />Raising Committee, for which I prepared a computerized mailing list of organizations and foundations. <br />During 1990 and 1991, I was the secretary for the Committee to Save the Lackawanna Railroad Station <br />in Cortland, N.Y.
