I ) 26 <br />- Montgomery County (Va.) Curriculum Module Grant <br />Position: Producer, <br />This grant was for the production of an educational <br />slide /tape program entitled "Exploring Montgomery <br />County Architecture ", a presentation of the architec- <br />ture of the county and its relation to the county's <br />history. The program was designed for use in Montgom- <br />ery County high schools. <br />- Archaeological Project Center, College of William and <br />Mary, Williamsburg, Va. <br />Position: Architectural Historian (consultant). <br />Responsibilities included architectural survey and <br />historical research for seven cultural resource <br />surveys for the Virginia Department of Transporta- <br />tion. <br />1989 -91. Virginia Department of Historic Resources, <br />Roanoke Regional Preservation Office, Roanoke, Va. <br />Position: Architectural Historian <br />Projects and responsibilities included: <br />- Architectural Survey. <br />Approximately 500 sites were surveyed and site files <br />prepared. Most of these sites were in selected rural <br />communities located in the ten counties of the RRPO <br />Primary Service Area (PSA). <br />- National Register. <br />Architectural descriptions for two urban districts, <br />one rural district, and two individual sites prepared. <br />In addition, necessary documentation for <br />determinations of eligibility for approximately a <br />dozen districts and individual properties prepared. <br />Technical Assistance. <br />Technical assistance provided for approximately 40 <br />projects in Southwest Virginia. <br />Education. <br />Participation in several workshops and conferences. <br />Numerous presentations made to constituents in the <br />RRPO PSA. Preparation of an architectural and his- <br />torical workbook featuring the antebellum Buena Vista <br />House in Roanoke, Va., for elementary- school students. <br />Preparation of a video featuring the architecture and <br />history of the Roanoke area, for high school students. <br />
