14 <br />Creek drainage basin. To the extent possible, construction <br />will be coordinated with Chapel Hill's greenway trail project. <br />G -6. Riggsbee Pump Station Phaseout - Construction of approximately <br />900 feet of 8 -inch gravity sewer from the existing wastewater <br />Pump station near Riggsbee Mobile Home Court (Airport Road <br />vicinity) to the Booker Creek-gravity sewer system. will <br />eliminate need for the pump station at this location. <br />G -9. Booker Creek _Interceptor - Design and construction of <br />approximately 7,500 feet of 30 -inch ductile iron interceptor <br />parallel to the existing 18 -inch line between the WCHL towers <br />(East Franklin Street) and the Rogerson Drive Pump Station. <br />As with the Bolin Creek Interceptor (G -1), this project will <br />help reduce nuisance overflows caused by excessive <br />infiltration and inflow entering the sewer system. The Booker <br />Creek Interceptor currently carries approximately 20 percent <br />of all sewage generated in the OWASA system. <br />G -14. Sewer Line Repair and Rehabilitation Pro'ects - OWASA crews <br />routinely replace or repair existing sewer lines that have <br />exceeded their - useful service life. These projects typically <br />include upgrading deteriorated or leaking lines. <br />G -16. Finley Forest Pum <br />approximately 600 <br />from the existing <br />54 East vicinity) <br />Friday Center. Glen Heights Sewer Assessment Project - Construction of <br />gravity sewer lines in the Windsor Circle /Gritz Drive <br />neighborhood, per petition by a majority -of property owners, <br />will provide a centralized collection system for this portion <br />of Chapel Hill. Capital costs will be recovered by OWASA <br />through assessments to benefitting properties. <br />G -20. Little Creek Glen Lennox Sewer Im rovements - Replacement <br />and /or realignment of existing sewer lines will help reduce <br />nuisance overflows.
