3 <br />Page 7 <br />APPENDIX: DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES <br />SOIL EVALUATION - SEWAGE <br />This activity includes an on -site inspection to evaluate a parcel <br />of land for suitability of installation of a private sewage <br />disposal system. The evaluation includes soil borings to determine <br />the permeability of the soil. <br />PRELIMINARY SOIL EVALUATION <br />This activity includes an on -site inspection of a tract of land to <br />determine the general suitability of the tract for development of <br />subdivisions, mobile home parks, shopping centers, etc., utilizing <br />on -site sewage disposal system for waste disposal. <br />IMPROVEMENT PERMIT INSPECTION <br />This activity includes an on -site visit to a parcel of land to <br />issue a permit for construction of a new sewage system. Included <br />in this permit is the tank capacity, amount of drain line, and <br />location of system on the parcel of land. <br />CERTIFICATION OF COMPLETION <br />This activity includes an on -site visit to inspect a septic tank <br />system to ensure that the system is installed in accordance with <br />the improvement permit issued for the parcel of land. <br />OPERATIONAL PERMIT <br />This activity includes the initial inspection and approval of a <br />septic tank system that requires a special design feature such as <br />a pump system. <br />WELL INSTALLATION - GROUTING <br />This activity includes inspection of a well as the grout is being <br />poured. <br />BACTERIOLOGICAL WATER SAMPLES <br />This activity includes the collection of water samples from wells <br />that meet all rules to ensure the supply is safe for human <br />consumption. <br />OTHER WATER SAMPLES (including chemical, pesticide and petroleum) <br />This activity includes the collection of water samples for <br />"analysis other than bacteriological." <br />
