Solid Waste Management Rules (10 NCAC 10G) <br />list of siting and design include a <br />requirements for disposal sites. <br />section .0503 (1)(b)(iv) states that a site shall not cause an <br />adverse impact on a state park, recreation or scenic area, or any <br />other lands included in the State Nature and Historic Preserve. <br />We believe Site OC -11 would not be in compliance with this rule. <br />We recommend that Site OC -11 be excluded from <br />consideration as a landfill location. If this site continues further <br />to <br />be considered, we request the preparation of an Environmental <br />Impact Statement to evaluate potential impacts on the park. <br />Sincerely, <br />Philip K.
