Problems with
the existing system include:
* Limits recycling opportunity for employees while at
work because of lack of recycling bins for many
items.
*
Lack of recycling bin locations for the public in
buildings with more traffic_. (New Courthouse, Tax and
Records, Richard E. Whitted Building, Recreation and
Parks,etc.)
*
Lack of training and updating of employees on items
that can and cannot be recycled.
* Unreliable markets for .recyclable items. Because the
recycling industry is so volatile, with supply far
exceeding demand, it is difficult to estimate oasts
for recycling. Currently, grange Regional pays
processors to accept mixed paper and plastic_.
