Show the boundaries of lot 7.6..2. <br />Waddell asked about the condition regarding <br />removal of the parallel parking area. Cameron <br />responded this condition was to meet the setback <br />requirements in the Planned Development District <br />standards. She noted that sufficient parking <br />is available so the loss of the twelve spaces did <br />not create a problem for the applicant. <br />Gray moved approval with the conditions as <br />recommended by the Planning Staff with the <br />findings. Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments <br />(1) Comprehensive Plan Amendment Procedures <br />Presentation by Marvin Collins. <br />This item is to consider a proposed Zoning <br />Ordinance text amendment which would change <br />Article 2.2.14.3 to provide greater flexibility <br />to the Board of Commissioners in conducting <br />public hearings involving principal amendments to <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />In April of 1988, Article 2, Administration, of <br />the Zoning Ordinance was amended to define the <br />Comprehensive Plan and add procedures for its <br />amendment. Prior to that time, procedures for <br />amending the Land Use Plan (as referred to then) <br />were contained in a policy statement approved by <br />the Planning Board and Board of Commissioners. <br />When'-the Zoning Ordinance was amended in 1988, <br />the procedures were incorporated into Article 2 <br />with little or no change. <br />Section 2.2.14.3 of Article 2 requires that <br />principal amendments to the Comprehensive Plan <br />only be considered once each year at the <br />quarterly public hearing in February.. Since the <br />adoption of the amendment, few applications for <br />principal amendments to the Comprehensive Plan <br />have been processed under the procedures.
