(� - a9 -9Z_ o.�r <br />X38 <br />NORTH CAROLINA ORDER OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OF ORANGE COUNTY FIXING THE HOURS <br />ORANGE COUNTY OF EACH DAY THAT THE REGISTER OF <br />DEEDS OF ORANGE COUNTY SHALL ATTEND <br />HER OFFICE AND CHANGING THE <br />LOCATION OF THE OFFICE OF THE <br />- REGISTER OF DEEDS <br />WHEREAS, the Register of Deeds of Orange County presently <br />attends her office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 <br />p.m., regular Orange County government holidays excepted; and <br />WHEREAS, the Register of Deeds office is presently located at <br />the Orange County Tax and Records Building, Hillsborough, North <br />Carolina; and <br />WHEREAS, it has become impracticable for the office of the <br />Register of Deeds of Orange County to be in the Orange County <br />Courthouse or in the Orange County Tax and Records Building; and <br />WHEREAS, construction of the Orange County Government Services <br />Center will soon be complete and the office of the Register of <br />Deeds will be located in the Orange County Government Services <br />Center when that Center is complete; and <br />WHEREAS, the move from the Orange County Tax and Records <br />Building to the Orange County Government Services Center will take <br />two days during which time it will be impracticable for the <br />Register of Deeds of Orange County to accept documents for <br />recordation and otherwise carry on the functions of her office. <br />IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br />ORANGE COUNTY, pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. SS161 -7 (Office of <br />Register of Deeds at Courthouse) and 161 -8 (Attendance at Office <br />by Register of Deeds), as follows: <br />
