4 ,
scope of work for this action plan would include the following:
-- a review of existing solid waste practices,
-- development of alternatives for waste reduction,
collection and handling of materials, volume reduction
and final disposal of residuals,
-- presentation of recommended strategies for
implementation.
We want this action plan to be comprehensive, including all solid
waste activities and all governments, institutions and private
agencies that are participating. We do not know, at this
time, if there will be a fee for this work.
4. Work that could be done primarily by the Landfill Owners'
Group staff and local government staff.
We recommend that the consultant's work on this project should
address technical questions that the staff does not have the time
and expertise to address adequately.
