Site /Topography <br />i <br />The visual impact of locating a landfill in a given area is <br />determined by a qualitative and comparative evaluation considering <br />the following factors: <br />1. Availability of natural screening (vegetation) <br />2. Topography <br />3. Current and future use of properties adjacent to the site. <br />The evaluation considers areas immediately adjacent (i.e., within <br />1/2 mile) of the site. Impact ratings are assigned values between <br />1 and 5. <br />b. Travel Route j <br />i <br />The visual impact along the travel route is determined by the <br />population density and the haul distance. The evaluation includes <br />the anticipated travel routes from the centers of waste generation <br />to each candidate site. <br />1.
