4 <br />Excerpt from 6/3/P2 Agricultural Districts Advisory Boar(l <br />Minutes <br />ice <br />conservation agreement results in the Loss of qualifying <br />status.and the eligibility to participate in a voluntary <br />agricultural district. <br />Walters asked that other board members make use of any <br />opportunities to speak to groups regarding the ordinance and <br />the voluntary agricultural districts program. <br />ITEM #3: ITEMS FOR DECISION <br />a. Draft Agricultural Conservation Agreement <br />Presentation by Marvin Collins. <br />This item is to consider the form and content of a draft <br />Agricultural Conservation Agreement. <br />Section IV.D.1 of the Voluntary Farmland Preservation <br />Program Ordinance authorizes the Agricultural Districts <br />Advisory Board to review and approve the form of the <br />conservation agreement required by Section V.C.I.d. of the <br />Ordinance. <br />This draft agreement was prepared based on a model <br />agreement used by the Triangle Land Conservancy. <br />Following review by the County Attorney and the Vice -Chair <br />of the Advisory Board, the agreement was revised to more <br />accurately reflect the goals of the voluntary agricultural <br />districts program. <br />A final version of the agreement, including changes <br />recommended by Elizabeth and Carl Walters, has been sent <br />to the County Attorney for review. The changes <br />recommended by the Walters are underlined on the draft <br />agreement included in the agenda'attachments. A copy of <br />the draft agreement is an attachmerrt to these minutes on <br />pages <br />Collins reviewed the final draft of the agreement and <br />recommended revisions. All of these revisions are <br />indicated on the copy attached to these minutes. <br />Collins noted that the revisions /changes have been <br />approved by Carl and Elizabeth Walters and the County <br />Attorney. <br />Hunter expressed concern with section 3 (c) and the <br />notification to the person researching the property. <br />She indicated that she felt that the buyer should be <br />notified as well. She also expressed concern that the <br />notice be so written that there could be assurance that <br />notification had been received. Collins responded that <br />this was a concern that had been raised previously. <br />However, the enabling legislation only requires that the <br />
