n <br />AGREEMENT <br />1992 FIRE PROTECTION AND SAFETY PLAN <br />4TH JULY - FIREWORKS DISPLAY <br />Kenan Stadium <br />The Fire Protection and Safety Plan according to the <br />agreement made between responsible agents for having fireworks at <br />Kenan Stadium during the Fourth of July Celebration includes the <br />following measures: <br />1. Safety and Fire Protection will be provided by the following <br />departments. However, the fireworks display operator has the <br />primary responsibility for safety. <br />A. Fire Protection <br />- Chapel Hill Fire Department <br />- UNC - Health and Safety Office <br />- Carrboro Fire Department <br />B. Fire Prevention <br />UNC - Health and Safety Office <br />- Chapel Hill Fire Department <br />Orange County Fire Marshal <br />C. Crowd Control and Security <br />-- University.Police <br />- UNC Transportation and Parking <br />-- Chapel Hill Police <br />- UNC Athletic Department <br />D. Emergency Medical Services <br />South Orange County Rescue <br />2. Outdoor display of fireworks will be in accordance with <br />National Fire Protection Association, Code for the outdoor <br />Display of Fireworks. The purpose of the code is to provide <br />requArements for the reasonably safe conduct of outdoor <br />fireworks displays. <br />3. Crowd control will be the responsibility of police and <br />transportation officials. Monitors will be located around <br />the discharge site and fallout area to prevent spectators or <br />any other unauthorized persons from entering.
