The County Manager's <br />Office was designated as the lead agency for coordinating the <br />grant; representatives were appointed to the Home and <br />Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee; a public <br />hearing was conducted to receive citizen input on the block <br />grant funding plan as recommended by the advisory committee; <br />and the funding plan was approved by the Board. <br />The Home and Community Care Block Grant requires the County <br />to sign an agreement with the Area Agency (Triangle J Council <br />of Governments) to receive "pass through" grant funding from <br />the state. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Manager recommends approval of agreement and authorize <br />chair to sign agreement on behalf of the Board. <br />
