The figures indicate <br />than an average of five percent of Orange County <br />employees are using the EAP each year. This is <br />Projected by Human Affairs International to be the <br />expected utilization rate for municipal employees. <br />In addition to individual employee assistance, the <br />Employee Assistance Program provided two critical <br />incident de- briefing sessions for Emergency Management <br />Services telecommunicators (20 employees); provided <br />training to supervisors on "When a personal problem <br />affects an employee's work performance "; and provided <br />a pilot stress management workshop for Emergency <br />Management Services personnel. The EAP is scheduled <br />to provide the stress management training to all EMS <br />employees in July and August. <br />Funds for the Employee Assistance Program are included <br />in the budget for fiscal year 1992 -93. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board authorize the Board <br />Chair to sign the contract amendment with Human <br />Affairs International. <br />
