7.4
7.5
7.6
: merit. doc
Competent 1.25%
Highly Effective 2.50%
Outstanding Achievement 3.75%
WPPR Review Date
An employee's WPPR Review Date is the annual
anniversary of the date of employment or the date of
the last promotion, whichever is later. For example,
if an employee began work on July 15, 1990, the WPPR
Review Date is July 15 in succeeding years. If the
employee is promoted February 2, 1992, the employee's
WPPR Review Date changes to February 2 in succeeding
years.
Effective Date
Any merit increase is effective on the pay period
beginning date following the employee's WPPR Review
Date. If an employee's WPPR Review Date falls on the
pay period beginning date, the merit increase is
effective on that pay period beginning date.
Process
The department head reviews each performance review
under WPPR and recommends to the County Manager the
employees to receive the merit increase. The WPPR
Evaluation form and the completed workplan are
submitted along with the merit increase recommendation
to the Personnel Department and become a part of the
employee's personnel file.
Any Outstanding Achievement award requires the advance
approval of the County Manager, upon written
recommendation of the department head.
