Small Cities Community Development <br />Block Grant Program. <br />BACKGROUND: Recipients of CDBG funds are required to develop and <br />implement a Plan to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing. The <br />County's last plan was approved on May 23, 1989. In order <br />to continue to comply with the fair housing requirements of <br />the Community Development Block Grant Program, this update <br />must be approved by the Board of Commissioners and <br />submitted to the N.C. Department of Economic and Community <br />Development for approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />The Manager recommends: <br />Approval of the Fair Housing Plan Update and authorize the <br />Chair to sign the document on behalf of the Board. <br />
