I have summarized the key points with bullets <br />in this cover letter. I felt that I should provide more <br />information and let you determine what you want or need. <br />Included in this package are:' <br />. 1) Specific highlights of business growth <br />2) A summary of expansions, relocations and new businesses in <br />the past 2 years <br />3) A summary of EDC activities and accomplishments <br />4) Some ideas for new ways to keep the commissioners and the <br />public informed of local successes <br />5) Several attachments including - EDC publications, SBTDC <br />report,'approved new development in Chapel Hill, newspaper <br />clippings of successes the past 2 years <br />Summary of Key Points <br />* In the past two years 202 businesses have moved to, started, <br />or expanded in Orange County. They have produced close to <br />1,500 new jobs, invested $57.6 million, and absorbed 1.4 <br />million square feet of space.
