The Chapel Hill Herald <br />April 9, 1991 <br />Mebane plant <br />to hire 45 more <br />MEBANE — The Mebane <br />plant of Royal Home Fashions <br />will expand its work force by <br />45 employees due to a demand <br />for its products, according to <br />the Orange County Economic <br />Development Commission. I <br />The plant produces pleated <br />and pole -top drapes as well as, <br />novelty valences with tie- backs. <br />The company grew from 451 <br />employees to 200 in 1990, ac- <br />cording to the EDC. <br />Due to the expansions, the <br />company will also need to add <br />to its 55,000 - square foot build- <br />ing. <br />Royal Home Fashions' head-, <br />quarters is located in Durham, <br />and distribution and manufac- <br />turing is located in Henderson. <br />
