Triangle Business <br />June 10 - 17, 1991 <br />� New tenants to <br />occupy ex- grocery store in August <br />Renovation and construction on the 1 <br />306 West Franklin Street project in <br />Chapel Hill — formerly Fowler's Food <br />Store — is scheduled to be completed in <br />late August, when several new <br />tenants are expected to open their <br />doors. <br />Todd Zapolski, general partner in <br />West Side Ltd., the property's owner, <br />said three tenants have leased space <br />in the 20,000 - square -foot project. <br />TGIF Clothing, a Lynchburg, Va.- <br />based catalog surplus retailer; The <br />Ronkin Educational Group; and L'il <br />Dino Subs. <br />The Chapel Hill store will be <br />TGIF's first in the Triangle. Zapolski <br />said TGIF has four stores in Virginia, <br />one in Charlotte and is considering <br />opening a store in Raleigh. <br />The renovated building will fea- <br />ture brightly colored awnings and <br />glass store fronts on three sides of the <br />structure. An addition, which will <br />extend the building closer to Franklin <br />Street, has been designed to blend in <br />with the .renovated service stations <br />that are adjacent to the project. <br />Architectural services are being <br />provided by Phil Zook of Carrboro, <br />construction consulting by BRW of <br />Carrboro, and general construction by <br />Raleigh -based Five Star Construction <br />Inc.
