The Home and Community Care Block Grant did not <br />is to new funding streams, but combined funds appropriated <br />to the Department on Aging, Department of Social Services and <br />Joint Orange Chatham Community Action Agency to administer <br />programs for senior citizens. <br />On March 9, 1992 the Board designated the County Manager's <br />Office as the lead agency for coordinating the Block Grant <br />and approved the composition of the Home and Community Care <br />Block Grant Advisory Committee. On May 4, 1992 the Board <br />appointed members to the Advisory Committee. <br />On May 13, 1992 the County Home and Community Care Block <br />Grant Advisory Committee met and endorsed a recommended <br />funding plan for Fiscal Year 1992 -93. The Block Grant <br />requires the Board of Commissioners to conduct a public <br />hearing to receive comments on the recommended funding plan. <br />The recommended funding plan identifies the same programs <br />funded during Fiscal Year 1991 -92. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Manager recommends approval of the 1992 -93 Home and <br />Community Care Block Grant Funding Plan as endorsed by <br />the Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory <br />Committee. <br />• <br />
