MEMORANDUM
TO: Ted Abernathy, Orange County Economic Development Comm.
FROM: Dan Parks, UNC -SBTDC
SUBJECT: Client Impact Evaluation
DATE: May 28, 1992
PREFACE
For some time, we have had ongoing discussions concerning the
positive impact that the UNC -SBTDC strives for on behalf of our cli-
ents. This is of special interest to us in Orange County due to our
relationship with your office and the establishment of our new Central
Carolina Regional Center in Chapel Hill.
On Wednesday, May 26, you requested an impact evaluation which
would address the numbers and types of businesses with whom we are
consulting. Importantly also, you requested some anecdotal information
on certain clients which would be representative of positive impact.
As a start, I have included data for all of 1991 and the first
' quarter of 1992 in the manner we discussed yesterday. Once you have
digested this information, we can discuss further how to make this
reporting increasingly meaningful to you.
#Clients
Contact Hours
CLIENT STATISTICS
1991
123
530 (4.3 hrs. per)
1st QTR
1992
43
232 (1.9 hrs. per)
Prep.
