MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Eddie Kirk. Planner II <br />FROM: Paul Thames, County Engineer <br />DATE: March. 25, 1992 <br />17 <br />SUBJECT: White Oak Subdivision <br />As per your request I have reviewed the above referenced <br />project and have the following comments: <br />1. There appear to be several unusual drainage conditions at <br />the project site, impacting lots 1,2.3,5,6 and 9. These <br />conditions should be field verified and lot /building <br />restrictions, culvert sizing and drainage easements <br />coordinated with Environmental Health and Sediment <br />Control. <br />2. The location of the subdivision road in relation to the <br />intersection of Old NC 86 and Davis Drive may be somewhat <br />Problematic in that it may prove to be a popular shortcut <br />between the two roads. I have no suggestions in this <br />matter, but I believe that this is a potential problem. <br />3. As the existing property lines appear to go to the center <br />line of both Davis Road.and Old NC 86. I would recommend <br />that some sort of accommodation be worked out with DOT to <br />convey formal right -of -way on both.roads. <br />If I may provide additional input, please advise. <br />i� <br />
