JOINT ORANGE- CHATHAM COMMUNITY ACTION - ADDITIONAL FUNDING <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner <br />Insko to approve an allocation from the commissioners' Contingency of $4,714 <br />to JOCCA to eliminate a deficit experienced during the current fiscal year. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />C. FUNDING FOR THE CHAPEL HILL SENIOR CENTER <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner <br />Insko to approve an allocation from the Commissioners' Contingency of $4,455 <br />for the lease of the Chapel Hill Senior Center at the Galleria Shopping <br />Center. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />The Board indicated that they will discuss during the budget <br />deliberations the County's participation in the lease for future years. <br />D. NEW HOPE CORRIDOR OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL <br />COMPENSATION FOR CONSULTANT <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Insko, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gordon to approve an allocation from the Commissioners' Contingency of <br />$2637.50 for additional compensation to Coulter Associates. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />E. WHITE OAK SUBDIVISION - PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />(MOVED TO CONSENT AGENDA) <br />F. SELECTION PROCESS FOR BOND COUNSEL <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis that the County stay with the bond counsel of Brown & Wood for the <br />November 1992 school bond referendum. Appointment of this firm will be <br />placed on the June 29, 1992 agenda for formal approval. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />G. CONSIDERATION OF OWASA- RELATED ISSUES APRIL 1 ASSEMBLY OF <br />GOVERNMENTS MEETING) <br />The County Commissioners will indicate on the list of proposed <br />issues those they wish to pursue through further discussion. This will be <br />sent to the County Manager and this item will be placed on the June 29 <br />agenda. <br />H. TELEPHONE SUPPORT FOR ORANGE COUNTY HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION <br />After a brief discussion, the Board decided to table this item <br />until August 18 at which time the County Manager will present a plan for <br />including this function and other functions dealing with advocacy into one <br />department. <br />IS.
